Y2Tribe recognises Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and seas throughout Australia. We acknowledge their connection to country and their ownerships as Australia’s First Nation Peoples. We acknowledge the Elders both past and present and their contribution to the well-being to First Nation Peoples.
About Us
Through many years of grassroots work within communities, we have seen children, young people and adults experience disconnection, isolation, loneliness and disappointment that can prevent them from recognising their strengths and reaching their full potential.
We kept coming back to one important question:
What’s missing?
For us, a big part of the answer is connection and belonging.
We believe everyone needs people around them who see them, value them and encourage them.
Everyone needs somewhere they feel they belong. We call that their Tribe.
Connection Changes the energy and Dynamic.
At Y2Tribe, we believe connection creates trust. Trust creates belief. Belief creates belonging. And belonging creates the foundation for positive, sustainable change.
That's why we don't simply deliver programs. We intentionally create connection opportunities — spaces, experiences and relationships where people can meet, engage, be heard, build confidence and discover that they are part of something bigger than themselves.

We know that no single person, program or organisation can create lasting change alone.
A strong Tribe is made up of diverse people, relationships and opportunities, supported by the wider village — families, schools, community organisations, services, sporting groups, churches, businesses and other community supports.
Our role is often to help bring those pieces together.
We create opportunities for people to connect with themselves, with others and with their wider community, helping build stronger relationships and a powerful sense of community and belonging.

This event provides an opportunity for community organisations, mental health services, and key stakeholders including local leaders to connect with our students and promote available wellbeing supports. It also offers a valuable platform to strengthen partnerships between schools and the broader community.

The event raises awareness around Youth Mental Health and is tailored to Secondary School Students. The Talkin’ it Up! event encourages positive mental health experiences through active participation in our activity-based workshops that stem from the Wheel of Wellbeing (WoW) framework. We encourage students to be inspired by the Talkin’ it Up! Forum, and share their learnings and experience back in their community. Sponsored by Ipswich Hospital Foundation (IHF) and led by West Moreton Health, the event is designed specifically to increase awareness and inform students of the importance of dealing with mental health issues sooner rather than later. The day consisted of several workshops, group activities and presentations. The event provided a platform for discussion on various mental health conditions, helping the students identify with the organisations they can turn to when the going gets tough or want to help a friend who may be suffering. The Regional Youth Mental Health Forum is dedicated to reaching those students who don’t live in a major capital city and may not be aware of the available resources that can assist with mental health problems.
